Based in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Kathie Lovett is a painter exploring both the seen and unseen. With a BA in Art History, MFA in Painting, and an independent bookstore ownership behind her, Kathie decided to jump into studio arts fifteen years ago.
Working with the concepts of nature, time and human influence, painting is the experiential path that leads Kathie to configure narrative and image into a unified vision. Engagement in the art process is the highest value for Kathie. It combines tactile and visual stimulation, critical thinking, and a way to be present in a fast moving world. She hopes to create a dialogue with viewers through her visual vocabulary.
